Those who use rosemary oil consistently (three or four times a week, diluted to 2-3% in carrier oil) tend to report the first signs no earlier than a few months. Not new fuzz, but hair that seems fuller, fewer hairs lost in the shower drain, a feeling of a less tense scalp.
What happens in the first three months? Little visually. If you notice reduced shedding after 8-12 weeks, that is a good sign: it means the product is influencing the telogen (resting) phase of the follicle. Actual growth? That requires another 2-3 months.
Timelines vary from person to person. Age, hormonal status, genetics, even the season change the response. It is one thing to use it on a 28-year-old man dealing with hair thinning in men, another on a 50-year-old woman in menopause.
