Image Licence & Attribution Policy

This page explains where the images on albaniahairclinic.com come from, the licence we use them under, how we credit other people's work, and what you may do with our visual material.

What this policy covers

It applies to every photograph, illustration, graphic, icon and video published on albaniahairclinic.com, including images in blog articles, on treatment pages and in the before-and-after gallery.

Images that are ours

Clinical photographs, including before-and-after photographs, are photographs of our own patients taken at our clinic. They belong to Albania Hair Clinic and are protected by copyright. They may not be copied, cropped, renamed or reused by another clinic, agency or website. We do not use another clinic's clinical photographs, and we do not present a stock image as if it were one of our results.

Every before-and-after image shows an individual case at a point in time and is not a prediction of another person's result. The gallery is here: Before and after.

Third-party images

Where a page needs an image we did not produce, it is used only if the licence allows it. In practice there are three sources:

• Commissioned photography. Images made for us by a photographer or illustrator, under an agreement that allows us to use them on this website and in our own materials.
• Licensed stock images. Images obtained from a stock library under the terms of the licence purchased. We keep within the limits of that licence, including any credit requirement.
• Openly licensed work. Images published under a public licence, for example Creative Commons or a public domain dedication. We check the exact licence version before publication, because the obligations differ between variants.

An image whose licence we cannot verify is not published. If we are unsure, the image does not go live.

How we attribute

Where a licence requires a credit, our attribution states, as far as it is available:

• the name of the author or rights holder;
• the title of the work, if it has one;
• the source, with a link to the original;
• the licence and its version, with a link to the licence text.

The credit is placed next to the image it refers to, because the link between image and credit has to be unambiguous. A licence that requires no attribution, such as a public domain dedication, does not oblige us to credit, but naming the source anyway remains good practice.

Alt text and honest use

Published images carry alternative text describing what is shown, for readers using a screen reader. We do not edit an image so that it says something it does not show: we do not merge photographs of different patients into a single case, we do not retouch a clinical result, and we do not change lighting or framing to make an outcome look different from what it was.

Using our images

If you are a journalist, partner or researcher and want to use our material, ask us first at info@albaniahairclinic.com. As a general rule:

• editorial use with a correct reference to Albania Hair Clinic is normally granted on request;
• the logo and brand graphics may not be altered, or used in a way that suggests a partnership, endorsement or affiliation that does not exist;
• clinical photographs of patients are never released for a third party's advertising.

If an image is yours

If you believe an image on this website is yours and has been published without a licence or without the credit you are due, write to info@albaniahairclinic.com with the address of the page and the image. We treat the report as a factual error under our Corrections Policy: we check it, and we either add the missing credit or remove the image.

If you appear in a photograph, the request concerns your personal data and is handled under our Privacy Policy.
