In autumn, levels tend to drop because summer, with sweat and lighter eating, has already put them to the test. Go ahead with an iron bisglycinate supplement (better tolerated) if tests confirm it. Without tests, better not to shoot in the dark: too much iron does not help.
Vitamin D deserves a separate discussion. In summer, we produce it from the sun. In autumn, stores plummet. Those with vitamin D levels below 20 ng/ml tend to lose more hair than those with normal values. A supplement of 1000-2000 IU per day, from October to March, makes sense for many. Few know that vitamin D helps follicles enter the anagen phase, the growth phase.
Zinc and selenium appear in every formula, but the truth is they are only needed if there is a documented deficiency. Excess zinc, moreover, can be toxic to the follicle.
